FLSA Designation: Exempt
Nature of Duties: Under minimal supervision, coordinates and supervises the Radiologic Technology (RT) Program at the Douglas Campus. Responsibilities include organizing, administering, reviewing, developing, and assuring program effectiveness; conducting on-going program assessment; maintain program certification/accreditation requirements; prepare and maintain the program’s budget; review and approve all requests for supplies and materials for the program; evaluate and assure clinical education effectiveness; prepare and maintain all required documentation and administrative reports; maintain current knowledge of the professional discipline and educational methodologies through continuing professional development; assume the leadership role in the continued development of the program; promote the program to business/industry and to the public; assist with recruitment, retention, and job placement efforts; represent the program at various internal and external meetings; supervise full-time and adjunct instructors in the RT program; teach RT classes. Willingness to travel to various campus locations as needed for training and support is a must.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A master’s degree
- Three years of full-time in-field work experience within the past seven years
- Proficient in curriculum design, program administration, evaluation, instruction, and counseling
- Two years experience as an instructor in a JRCERT accredited program
Hold American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification or equivalent and registration in the pertinent discipline
- Recent teaching experience
- Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with a diverse student population
- Strong computer, communication, and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Teaching experience at the postsecondary level
Salary/Benefits: Salary range is commensurate with previous work experience. Benefits include paid state holidays, vacation, retirement, personal and sick leave, and the State of Georgia Flexible Benefits Program.
