Nature of Duties: The Instructional Manager is supervised by and responsible to the Campus Director. The Instructional Manager is responsible for leadership and administration of the instructional programs on each respective campus. The responsibilities of this position relate to both day and evening programs in terms of development and operation and to both full-time and adjunct faculty in terms of supervision and coordination. Responsibilities include directing the development of faculty schedules and teaching assignments, as well as campus room utilization; coordinating annual instructional budget submission and monitoring campus instructional budgets; assisting in the registration process; obtaining equipment, materials, and/or supplies for instructors; hiring adjunct faculty and preparing quarterly contracts; coordinating and facilitating the utilization of advisory committees and maintaining documentation of activities; semiannual classroom observation and annual evaluation of faculty.
Minimum Qualifications: Applicant must possess a master’s degree in a program related to the fields of general business, medical, or technical education. Applicant must have at least three years of in-field work experience within the past seven years, including at least one year of direct supervision or management experience; must be able to demonstrate, either through work experience or seminars/workshops attended, a current knowledge of trends within technical education. Applicant must be familiar with Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications: Teaching experience at the postsecondary level.
Salary/Benefits: Salary range is commensurate with previous work experience. Benefits include paid state holidays, vacation, retirement, personal and sick leave, and the State of Georgia Flexible Benefits Program.
