Location: Murphy Campus – Waco, GA
Department: Student Affairs Division
Nature of Duties: Under minimal supervision, directs the career and job placement activities at a technical college. Maintains knowledge of program and attends training sessions. Responsible for career placement activities. Coordinates the job placement services between students and employers. Maintains active involvement in community organizations and makes presentations. Performs job counseling with students. Utilizes analytical and computer techniques. Completes administrative reports. Coordinates with internal and external team members. Assists with recruiting activities. May supervise subordinate personnel. Position reports to the Vice President of Student Affairs.
Minimum Qualifications: Undergraduate degree from an accredited four year college or university *and* specific experience in employment services; experience in planning or evaluating office or program procedures/processes; experience in staff interviewing and selection; experience instructing and/or counseling students. Excellent oral and written communication skills and good interpersonal skills for a diverse student population.
Preferred Qualifications: Graduate Degree Preferred.
Salary/Benefits: Salary range is commensurate with previous work experience. Benefits include paid state holidays, vacation, retirement, personal and sick leave, and the State of Georgia Flexible Benefits Program.
