West Central Technical College brings JoDee Messina to West Georgia
June 13, 2007 - If history indeed repeats itself thenresidents of the west Georgia area had better work fast if they want tickets to thisyear’s “Black Tie and Boots” benefit dinner and concert scheduled for Saturday, August 25th at West Central’s Murphy Campus in Waco. This years’ concert features country music artist JoDee Messina. “Every concert since the inception of this benefit event in 2002 has been sold out. The opportunity to see a marquee country performer in a venue that seats less than 400 people is phenomenal. Imagine, seeing this fabulous performer and being seated no more than 150 feet away”, comments Dawn Cook, coordinator of the event.
Messina brings incredible energy to the stage and with her hit “Heads Carolina, Tails California” in 1996, she became a household word. She followed up with several great hits including “Burn”, “Stand by Me”, “That’s the Way”, “Bring on the Rain”, and most recently, “My Give a Damn’s Busted.”
Messina joins an incredible list of past performers for this annual event that includes Mark Wills, Patty Loveless, Diamond Rio, Colin Raye, Crystal Gayle and Lee Greenwood.
Proceeds from the “Black Tie and Boots” concert event will go to the West Central Technical College Foundation and will be used to enhance education opportunities at the College through scholarships, new equipment, and program development. A portion of the ticket price is tax deductible.
Tickets for the event are priced at $100 each, which includes dinner. Tables of eight can be purchased for $750. Call Dawn Cook at 770.537.6010 to purchase tickets. |
