General Program Information
Student financial aid funding sources at West Central Technical College are designed to support students who would be unable to attend without financial assistance. The college promotes grants, scholarships, and employment opportunities for its qualified, deserving students.
General Eligibility Requirements
All students who receive financial aid through West Central Technical College must meet these requirements:

Be a U.S. citizen or national of the U.S. or have evidence from Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) of eligible permanent resident alien status

Be in compliance with Selective Service registration requirements

Be enrolled at West Central Technical College in an eligible program of study seeking a certificate, diploma, or degree

Not be in default or owe a refund on any Title IV or state financial aid program

Maintain satisfactory academic progress as defined by the college

Establish eligibility under the Title IV Drug Conviction policy of the Higher Education Amendment of 1998.
Students who have not registered for the Selective Service may complete this process by contacting Selective Service's online registration at www.sss.gov.
Learning Support Coursework
Learning Support courses will be covered by Title IV assistance if the student is enrolled as a provisional admit student in an eligible program at West Central Technical College and the learning support course is required by the school. State Aid only can be used to cover developmental admit coursework.
Federal and State financial aid can be awarded for a maximum of 45 hours of learning support coursework. Grades received for learning support courses are counted in the HOPE Scholarship GPA calculation. All learning support courses are included in the 67% hours attempted completion rate.

Students selected for the verification process, must provide the Financial Aid Office with requested verification information promptly.
