Mission Statement
The mission of West Central Technical College's Adult Education department is to provide a variety of quality learning experiences including reading, writing, computing, speaking, and listening skills in order to achieve personal goals, to compete successfully in today's workplace, to strengthen family foundations, to positively influence the community, and to exercise full citizenship.
West Central Technical college's mission is to lead economic and workforce development by offering students aged 16 and above learning opportunities through quality technical education programs and services. These opportunities focus on the development of academic and technical competence; critical thinking skills; social, personal, and intellectual values; and an understanding of society. These service of West Central Technical college include adult literacy, continuing education and corporate training as well as technical associate degree, diploma and certificate programs.
The vision of West Central Technical College's Adult Education program is to serve the adults in the four counties of Carroll, Coweta, Douglas, and Haralson, by providing literacy services in order to develop tomorrow's workforce, to overcome educational barriers, and to improve the quality of life of its citizens.
The goals of West Central Technical College's Adult Education department are to provide quality adult literacy services to the four county areas and to continue to work with other agencies on collaborative projects concerning adult literacy.
