REGISTRATION
Our registration schedule is as follows:  (Each session lasts about 45 minutes)

Building B  - Douglas Campus
Tuesdays - 4:30 pm or 5:30 p.m. Resumes July 15

When you register for testing, you will be assigned the next available test date.  Bring a valid Driver’s License, State-issued I.D, or Passport and $95.00 cash.  Please do not bring children.   If you are 16 or 17 years old, you must bring the letter stating that you have received special permission from the State Office of Adult Literacy to take the tests.  If you are 18 or 19 years old, you must bring proof of withdrawal from the last school you attended.

RETESTING
You must take all five tests before retesting on any test.  You may not retest on any test until you have received a score on your Writing test.  If your Average Standard Score after receiving scores on all five tests is below 400, you must wait 6 months before retesting.  If your Average Standard Score is 400 to 429, you must wait 3 months before retesting.  If your Average Standard Score is 430 or better, you may retest immediately.  However, attendance in adult education classes is recommended.  For information about classes, please call 770-947-7324.  You may take each test only 3 times during 2008, and you may not take each test form more than once. If you are retesting, please bring a copy of your previous scores to registration and testing.  Retests are $19.00 per test.

GED Test Schedule - Douglas Campus
WRITING and SCIENCE TESTS are given on the following Wednesdays:

July 23, August 13, September 3

Writing (120 min.) - 5:00 p.m.

Science (80 min) - 7:30 p.m.

*You must arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled time

MATH, READING, AND SOCIAL STUDIES TESTS are given on the following Wednesdays:

July 30, August 20, September 10

Mathematics (90 min.) - 5:00 p.m.

Reading (65 min.) - 7:00 p.m.

Social Studies (70 min.) - 8:15 p.m.

*You must arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled time

RESCHEDULING
If you miss your testing appointment, you must notify the testing center within 3 days or you will lose $19.00 for each test missed.  Test fees are non-refundable and fees for tests not taken by June 30, 2009 will be forfeited.

The State Office of Adult Literacy will mail official scores and diplomas in 6 to 8 weeks.

NO SCORES WILL BE GIVEN OVER THE TELEPHONE.  If you are in an Adult Education class, your instructor, with your permission, may receive your scores for all tests except Writing within 7 days after testing.
